The best thing about taking a vacation in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii is that just about anyone can visit the island and have a great time. Kailua-Kona Hawaii has many options for staying in the area. Of course, you can have a wonderful vacation if your economic situation allows and your pockets aredeep. But, you can also go to Kailua-Kona on a budget and still have just as much fun.

One reasonable option is a monthly rental right in town that is a studio apartment. Everything you need for your stay in Kailua-Kona is supplied including some small places with kitchenettes or microwaves and small refrigerators. There are a couple of small motels that are very reasonable. And, if you really need to watch your dollars, you can camp at a couple of sites on the island. Ask the State of Hawaii Forest Service before you camp anywhere in Hawaii. The options are many for the inventive person. Sometimes someone is looking for a housesitter for a short time while they vacation away from Kailua-Kona. The local newspaper in Kailua-Kona has a lot of ads in the classified section. The paper is also available on line.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii is a wonderful and fun place to vacation whether you have a lot of money to spend or you do your vacation Hawaiian-style. It doesnt take much money to enjoy laying on a sun drenched beach or swim in Hawaiis healing blue ocean. You can still enjoy a glorious sunset on a budget and you can still walk along Alii Drive and watch the waves roll in and out. The same waves crash onto the sea wall in Kailua-Kona Bay even if you dont have a whole lot of money to spend.
